They seem to have disappeared completely and the Nystrom snowmobile team tries to make it through them once or twice a year. We have tried from both ends and always have to turn around. We have even tried in the summer time with ATV’s and no luck. We track our trails with a GPS unit and we are still miles apart from connecting from both ends.
We are coming up on the 20th for February and I’m sure we will try again. Does anyone know if it’s possible to make it through? Does anyone have GPS mapped trial that will work with a Garmin GPS? We are determined to make it through some year and once we do we will clear and mark the trail of others. Any help or tips would be great.

I have the feeling that both of the trails you refer to have been cut off where they enter the Private Ranch. I recall travelling them about 8 years ago but since that time the Ranch (name I forget) has been passed from the previous owner down to his Son who did not want any outside access to the property. I know the gates are now locked.

Thanks for the information on the private property Bruce. I know about the gate at the end of trail 6. I have never found a gate exploring trail 54 or 25. I have been looking around my house for my GPS as I wanted upload a few of my plotted trails around 54 and 25. I think I left it up at the cabin or I hope I left it at the cabin. I will upload them when I come up in a few weeks. I will have more details on the trails I’m trying to find and also make sure it’s okay use them.
Thanks Shawnn |

The Nystrom family had a great week up a Sheridan lake. The weather was great and the trails and snow was awesome! Explored trail 25 again but was not able to make it to trail 5. Will try again in the summer with the ATV’s

Where would one find the map pictured at the begining of the post?
Is it available for download? |

Maps such as you see are available to purchase from most of the Sheridan Lake Stores including the Outdoor Store. There are 8 in the series and they are produced by the Interlakes Snowmobile Club. There is also one large Master Map that covers all the trails of ISC

So far as I know just the Sheridan Area but i also understand at the Info Centre in 100 Mile as well as the BRP Dealer.
The Trails System is all centered around Sheridan for the most part and ISC is based at Interlakes. Sorry is not convenient for you. |

No inconvenience for us. Just have to make the trip. We were up at the lodge last weekend (June 11-13) and happend to notice the trails were numbered. Wondered if that was your handy work. There are signs to that point to the clubhouse, is that your clubhouse? We were on dudly kill road. Pretty narly road in the wet season.

Sorry just noticed your response. Generally speaking if you are in the Interlakes area any Trail that is numbered then it is part of the Trail System of the Interlakes Snowmobile Club and should be shown on the Large Map that is available for purchase.
